Darren Does Christmas Lights!
I want to light up Edmonton. And I want to do it with rugged long-lasting Christmas lights, with installation techniques that prolong the life of lights and clips, and with colour and pattern choices that realize your vision.
I can install your Christmas lights. I install on fences, columns, houses, and trees. Even the mega-tall ones.
If you’re not hungry to do the work yourself, you probably recognize there is some danger involved. The last thing you want is an uninsured “handyman” taking a spill off your 30 foot peak. My crew and I use the right tools to complete your job without incident, including ladders, fall protection, and boom lifts.
Request Christmas Light Pricing Now
What’s the Process?
Once you send in a request, I’ll scope out your job, oftentimes with satellite imagery so I can get back to you as soon as possible. Depending on the imagery available I’ll send you a quote, or ballpark pricing. Ballpark pricing helps you to understand the general budget you’re looking at, and if you like what you’re seeing I’ll come out for a site assessment.
A quote looks like this:
The numbers under the “quantity” column are linear feet of light.
Note the pics next to some of the line items. You can select those to get a view of the design I’ve quoted and get more information about the products I offer.
When you select a line item image you’ll get a blown-up view. Every quote includes a line drawing of the parts of the house to be lit. If you’d like to change the design, you can request changes within the quote view, or message me, and I’ll revise the design to your liking.
I often include optional line items in the quotes so you can review what the costs would be with or without supply of lights, or adding or removing certain features.
Selecting or deselecting the checkboxes next to line items will update the total price on the quote. If you’re happy with what you see and have selected the services and products you want, punch that Approve button.
Once You’ve Approved Your Quote
When you approve your Christmas Light quote I get a notification, and my wife gives me a high five. I’ll then get in touch. We’ll set a date for the work together, and if I’m supplying products I’ll make sure I know the bulb and stringer colours you’re wanting.
Once the date is set, you’ll get an automatic text or email notification from my software one week, and then also one day, before your service.
On the Day of Your Christmas Light Installation
On the day of you install, you do not need to be home. Though I always look forward to meeting my customers. Here’s what you do need to do:
- Turn on the power to the outlets you’d like us to connect the lights to.
- Make sure your driveway and sidewalks are free of ice and snow.
- Pull any vehicles you’ll need out of your garage and off your garage pad. Our lift often boxes in front garage doors when we’re working on front yard trees and second stories.
We’ve got the tools and know-how to make everything run along smoothly. You can look forward to a festive property before you know it.
Guarantees and Warranties
The products I sell all come with an industry standard three season warranty. That’s a pretty conservative warranty though. I can proudly point to installations I’ve done with these products that are in their 3rd and 4th years and looking very fine.
I’ll guarantee all my installs through Christmas. If a freak windstorm blows down a strand before you get your holiday joy out of it, I’ll get it right back up again.
I’ll guarantee long term installs on Commercial Grade Superbrights through to a second Christmas, so I’ll make fixes until Christmas 2021 (assuming it’s still 2020 when you’re reading this…).
If I need to come out and fix a product that I sold that has failed, in those time periods there will be no charge.
